Position: Credit Controller
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire (Commutable from Sheffield, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Worksop, Barnsley and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
Salary: £Competitive

About the role:

- Chase debt by telephone and email to reduce debtor days.
- Allocate payments in accordance with customer remittances.
- Process and generate reminder letters and monthly statements, applying the credit controller uninsured discretionary limit as and when required.
- Liaise with the commercial team to resolve outstanding queries.
- Ensure that all major accounts work is to agreed order to cash cycle.
- Daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations to credit insurers.
- Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
- Draft management reports for monthly site meeting (attendance may be required).
- Processing credit card payments from customers.

About you:

- You will have the passion, drive and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.
- You must be an experienced Credit Controller, ideally within a commercial environment.
- Managerial success, the ability to create a high level of trust between commercial, planning and operational functions.
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical ability.
- The ability to work in a busy environment, under pressure and to tight timescales.
- The ability to build strong relationships quickly.
