Manpower is recruiting for a Contractor Manager on behalf of our client located near to, and to cover, Bradford, Sheffield, Peterborough, Newmarket and Coventry. The role is Permanent, and based within the Public Sector.

Key Accountabilities of this role include:
Reporting into the Senior Contractor Manager this role is responsible for sourcing, selecting and implementing approved driving contractors across the UK delivery Network.
Work with the Delivery Planning Team, Field Team and Depot Network to identify the need to supply Approved driving solutions
Create a standard were approved driving Contract solutions are managed, planned and controlled to achieve the agreed service and cost criteria to our final Customers.
To ensure management controls both in Depot and Field are trained, implemented and reviewed were the Approved driving solution operates.
* Responsible for sourcing, selecting and implementing approved driving contractors across the UK delivery network.
* Work with the delivery planning team, field team and depot network to identify the need to supply approved driving solutions
* Create a standard were approved driving contract solutions are managed, planned and controlled to achieve the agreed service and cost criteria to our final customers.
* To ensure management controls both in depot and field are trained, implemented and reviewed were the approved driving solution operates.
* Conduct periodical service reviews with contractors to ensure service targets are met and maintained.
* to ensure the contractual, legal and procurement processes are followed and developed, when implementing approved driving contractors for delivery and for sub depot management
* Maintenance of individual contractor records including back-up solutions.
* Responsible for all aspects of contractor pay and negotiation to ensure they are fair, consistent and cost effective for the company.
* Represent the company through personal contact with our clients who use the distribution network for the delivery of their products to their customers.
* To liaise with the depots and field to ensure the agreed service levels are established and maintained to provide a consistent quality service to the contractors, sub depots and couriers.
* To continually assess and develop the approved driving model to ensure it meets our client and end customer demands.
Essential requirements

* Previous people-management experience with a particular emphasis on relationship management.
* Self-motivated with a proven ability to get things done.
* Proven relationship management and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Highly effective at communication and influence.
* Problem solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions.
* Professional appearance, articulate and able to communicate confidently at all levels.
* Competent negotiation skills

Shifts: Full Time.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum, Plus benefits such as a company car etc
