Production Manager

Due to continued growth, my client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Production Manager to join their established and successful team.

Purpose of Role:

The Production Manager will manage and co-ordinate the activities of workers engaged in production operations.

The Successful Candidate will have:

Education and/or Experience:

* 5 years + Experience as a Production Manager in a busy Manufacturing/Engineering environment (Ideally Automotive)
* 360 Degree Management of a team to include KPI setting & monitoring, Appraisals, Resource Management, Training Evaluation, Personnel Issues and Performance Management

Responsibilities Overview:

* Guide, train, coach & support the Team Members within their roles ensuring the continued growth of their skills.
* Lead and participate in problem solving and process improvement teams to exceed customer commitments and plant performance
* Guide, train & coach to ensure the growth of team members' skills & flexibility
* Ensure all training and personnel records are kept up to date
* Promote and utilize 5s standards to improve efficiency, cleanliness, and safety
* Create and coordinate the execution of action plans to achieve 5s targets
* Actively involved in all EHS Procedures

* Responsible for ensuring the daily production schedule is met as agreed with the Logistics Department & Customer Schedules.
* To monitor production performances of the shift and communicate to the team
* Maintain the inventory control system and reconcile any discrepancies
* Organise and hold daily shift communication meetings to set objectives and resolve issues from the previous day
* Manage internal relations, motivate the team and ensure day to day problems are resolved
* To guide and monitor the Team Leaders to ensure employees follow required processes and meet inspection requirements as laid down in the company policy and procedures.

* To actively participate in problem solving activities with regard to customer complaints/5Y's/8D's

* To participate in weekend supervision if required
* Provide leadership when the Higher management is not available
