We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer for a prestigious Tier 1 Automotive business based in Wolverhampton with a competitive salary. The business have a market leading product and supply globally in to a number of OEMs.

MAIN DUTIES/KEY TASKS:

Ensure correct APQP utilised within new programs
*

Review and ascertain Supplier and Customer PPAP Approval
*

Lead and project manage production quality improvement initiated PPCR
*

Contribute to customer concern resolution in the 8D process with internal activities as required for containment, root cause

analysis, corrective actions, preventative actions, verification and updating of APQP

*

Plan and complete internal audits for TS and ISO accreditations
*

Liaising with customers to provide support/ advice and dealing with customer complaints
*

Proactively seek improvement opportunities and initiate and project manage improvement activities following six sigma methodologies
*

Support the QA Department with 2nd / 3rd Party Audits
*

Review of standards / specifications and client requirements
*

Implement and maintaining the relevant management systems / processes and measurements in order to be compliant to requirements
*

Work with cross-functional teams to generate Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans (MITP), lead PFMEA's and control plans to mitigate process and manufacturing risks
*

Candidates without experience if TS16949 in the Automotive industry will not be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and application of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control plans, PPAP etc. Essential
*

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
*

Team player, Robust Character, Leadership, Assertive
*

Determined and proactive approach;
*

Use initiative to manage own work activities;
*

Good interpersonal and communication skills;
*

Computer literate;
