In line with the continued growth of their business we are presently seeking a senior member of the engineering department to focus on reliability of their equipment, and particularly their control and instrumentation technology.

The Role - Purpose

To lead the plant reliability strategy to deliver sustained improvements in equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

- Plant reliability – Measure and analyse equipment performance to identify and prioritise improvement activities based on optimum return on investment
- Development of SCADA and PLC systems to improve the visualisation, control and automation of equipment to improve accurate data collection, process control and reliability
- Manage the planning and schedule all maintenance activities using the CMMS system.  Develop and improve key performance indicators to drive the plant reliability.
- Team leadership – Lead and develop Project Engineers
- Project leadership – Lead both WCM and Capital projects, including PM, AM and EEM
- Root Cause Analysis – Manage the EWO system to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.  Develop and improve key performance indicators to drive the plant reliability

Skills and Experience Required 

- Electrical / Control / Instrumentation engineering background - minimum time served, HND or Degree preferred but not essential.
- Strong technical experience with industrial automation - PLCs, SCADA etc.
- Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment
- Familiar with organisational safety requirements
- Using and interpreting engineering data.
- Continuous improvement and maintenance development techniques - TPM, RCM etc.
- People management
- Experience of driving reliability, asset management and preventative maintenance
- Experience of working in a World Class Maintenance Department beneficial.
- Competent user of MS Office applications & CMMS experience
