Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting a fantastic role of Management Accountant for an industry leading professional services business in the heart of Leeds City Centre.

This is a newly created role designed to support the Financial Controller in the provision of accurate and insightful monthly management accounts whilst providing meaningful management information to enhance business operations.

Given that this is a newly created role you will have ample opportunity to make your mark on the business and you will be encouraged to make improvements to systems and processes as you see fit.

Key Responsibilities:-

* Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and budgets to appropriate deadlines and high standards.
* Assist senior finance staff in ensuring all information emanating from the Finance Department is produced in accordance with relevant accounting standards, is robust, timely, accurate, pertinent and efficiently produced.
* Translate detailed financial information into tangible business scenarios to enable management to make quicker and more accurate business decisions.
* Produce monthly reconciliations ensuring all balance sheet items are accurately recorded and understood including accruals and intercompany amounts.
* Calculating the group management charges and arrange invoicing as well as assisting with intergroup recharge calculations and analysis.
* Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets registers for all entities ensuring that all items are correctly treated for tax purposes also.
* Liase with internal and external audit members to enable an efficient and thorough audit.
* Improve process and work systems to increase reporting efficiency's.
* Ensure process documentation is kept up-to-date to enable others to perform your primary duties when cover is required.
* Coach less experienced members of staff, providing guidance on more complex issues and explaining the course of action.

The role will suit best an ambitious and personable candidate who has a couple of years post qualified experience (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
