Injection Mould Tool Setter - PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE RELEVANT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN INJECTION MOULD TOOL SETTING

MSS People are working with a major player in the Plastic Injection Moulding field, working with companies from the oil and gas, food, bio tech and mainly Automotive sectors.

They have a requirement for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join the production team. You will be experienced in setting up plastic mould tools and equipment, you will provide technical support and training to staff on setting and following a TPM schedule.

Main Responsibilities:

Setting and conditioning of injection moulding tools in line with the production plan

Setting and conditioning of robots

Defining and establishing the tool settings where required

Monitor and maintain effective operation of all moulding machines and equipment

Carry out routine inspection maintenance on each machine and tool as required

Identify and report tool and machine problems to the appropriate designates

Ensure all health and safety procedures and practices are carried out on all tools and equipment

Identify and resolve quality concerns and carry first off/last off components inspection against documented procedures

Reduce set up times to ensure the moulding department is being fully effective at full capacity through the use of continuous improvement methods

Report and provide technical support and input to finding solutions to moulding related production concerns

Conduct tool trials as and when required on new projects and maintain reports recording the tools functionality and offering improvement suggestions to optimise processing

Ensure ancillaries are fit for purpose and that guards are working correctly

Participate in scrap reduction activities

Support operational effectiveness of equipment and processes and the introduction of new products, tooling and equipment

Train, develop and evaluate other staff on mould tools, processes and equipment

Work with tooling department to minimise tool failures and breakdowns

Produce and maintain master setting sheets

Qualifications:

Polymer Training certificate or NVQ level 3 in injection moulding technology(not essential)

Fork Lift counterbalance license

Pendant Crane license (not essential)

General:

Work Shifts as and when required

Relevant PPE worns at all times

Work to all procedures

Any other duties which may be reasonably required by the post holders line manager or director
