HEAD OF OPERATIONS (FINANCIAL SERVICES): WARRINGTON BASED, NEW ROLE WITH AN EXCITING GROWING BUSINESS. NEGOTIABLE SALARY CIRCA £70-80K DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PLUS EXCELLENT BONUS SCHEME. DEGREE OR HIGHER ESSENTIAL.

The Company

We are presently seeking a Head of Operations for our client, an exciting and fast growing name in the banking sector. The role is to be based at their new North West offices in Warrington. This position will be a crucial position to the company and a diverse role heading up a wide range of operational activities. Our client is looking for a Degree qualification or higher so please note that applications without this level of qualification cannot be considered.
  
The Role

Responsibilities:

- Front line manager for operations; accountable for all operational activities for the business
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Chief Operations Office
- Management responsibilities for diverse operational team of circa 40 staff
- Responsible for continuous process improvement
- Will be accountable for a wide range of functions from customer service to trading activities payments
- Strategic direction for functional teams
- Responsible for Development and growth of project management and analysis team
- Provide link between IT and operational functions

Requirements:

- 5+ years banking operational experience at a management level;
- Degree qualified or higher
- Experience of international business.
- Experience in trade finance, FX, or settlements would be desirable.
- Ability to deal with and head up a wide range of different functions through flexibilty and being able to work in a fast paced environment
- Need to get people to follow process, but be flexible in their own approach, whilst recognising sensible boundaries and spotting potential problems before they happen;
- Need to command immediate confidence, trust, and respect across a broad team at all levels;
- Excellent communication skills across a range of levels from board to operations team
- Strong analytical and critical reasoning ability
- Process and Continuous Improvement Skills
