We are looking for a Research / Insight Manager who can play a key part in delivering research and insight across the business based in Peterborough. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £35K per annum, 28 days holiday and free onsite parking.

We are a business with a strong specialism in insurance for young drivers. This is a dynamic market, with an audience at the cutting edge of generational changes in consumer behaviour.

The Research / Insight Manager will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of both the market and the consumer, helping to shape new product development and communications strategies.

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the Research / Insight Manager are:
Monitoring the markets in which we operate
Conduct research directly, and by commissioning and managing external specialists
Design and script questionnaires as well as report back on the findings
Play a central role in the firm's new Innovation Hub, aiding the team to assess and bring to market a series of innovative new ideas
Be responsible for desk research as required sourcing information from a variety of secondary sources
Manage the creation of in house consumer panels
Visualise and communicate results in a clear manner, adapting their outputs for a variety of audiences
Work across multiple projects

The successful Research / Insight Manager will have:
Extensive research experience gained with a research agency or research department of a consumer-focused client company
Experience of working within insurance or with a youth brand
An understanding of NPD processes and the role of insight within them
Thorough understanding of the role of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and experience of qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Understanding of a direct sales operation
Experience of working with consumer research panels and survey software
Ability to appreciate the commercial implications/opportunities of the research outcomes, and how they can directly contribute to revenue generation and business pitches
A degree, ideally within a business or related social science subject
Excellent numeracy skills and competent user of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Strong organisational skills with ability to work to short timescales
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Full and clean driving licence

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm.
