Job Title: Housing Support Worker - Nights
Location: Skegness, Lincolnshire
Hourly Rate: £9.82 per hour + statutory holiday pay, 33.5 hours per week.

Protocol is pleased to be working alongside Nacro, a social justice charity who helps vulnerable people to change their lives and to reach their full potential by addressing social exclusion, inequality of opportunity and deprivation. They design and deliver services that equip people with the skills, advice, attitude and support they need to move their lives on and to become part of their community. Their services cover education, housing, substance misuse treatment and the prevention of reoffending.

Boston and Skegness Housing Project Nacro helps homeless people to access good supported housing and stay out of trouble. The service is designed to support high-risk offenders, those at risk of offending and those with mental health problems.

We are currently looking for a Support Worker - Nights to cover 10:45pm - 8:15am starting as soon as possible. This shift will be 4 on 4 off each week and will be a total of 33.5 hours per week.

We are happy to consider candidates who are available for a 12-week period or are looking for a temp to perm role.

Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:
*Experience of managing overnight security, in a residential housing project for excluded groups, including vulnerable/young people.
*Experience of monitoring CCTV systems and managing health and safety issues.
*Ability to manage the safety and security of residents and buildings.
*Good verbal and written communication skills.
*Record keeping skills.
*Understanding the need for confidentiality.
*Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviour.
*Able to follow written procedure and polices and work on own initiative.
*Confident in dealing with security issues and emergencies and able to adapt approach to suit a variety of situations, individuals and groups.
*Ability to work across a range of housing services.
*A personal commitment to equality and inclusion.
*A personal commitment to Nacro's aims and values.
*A commitment to personal development, learning and reflective practice.
*A commitment to working as part of team and within the Nacro Housing business function.
*Awareness of the issues faced by excluded groups in a supported housing setting.
*IT skills Word, Excel, Email.
*A UK driving licence. (Desirable)
