Rail Ticketing & Revenue Systems Manager

Do you have experience and understanding of Rail Commercial, Ticketing, Passenger and Revenue processes and systems? Looking for that right opportunity to accelerate your career?

This is a key position focused on improving customer/passenger satisfaction and passenger revenue by transforming Train Operating Companies (TOC’s) passenger, ticketing and revenue systems for a number of TOC’s UK wide. You will lead the identification of business requirements and creation of business cases for passenger and revenue systems across the full breadth of systems and channels including, but not limited to:

  • Web Based passenger information and ticketing systems
  • Passenger Information Systems on stations and trains
  • Service information to staff
  • Wi-Fi on trains, stations and interchanges
  • Social media feeds
  • Ticket office machines and self-service ticket machines on platforms and trains
  • New/emerging solutions such as smartcards, bar-codes, print@home, EMV, m-ticketing etc.
  • Integrations and utilisation of automatic passenger loading information and related loadings management.

You will work with internal stakeholders and external ticketing and technology suppliers, Local Transport Authorities and various industry bodies to design and provision systems that will transform the passenger experience and drive revenues.

Suitable candidates will have the following essential experience

  • Experience and a strong understanding of transport (train, bus or similar) commercial, passenger and ticketing processes and technology systems
  • Demonstrable experience of requirements gathering, producing business cases and managing the design/selection and delivery of solutions
  • Ability to analyse data and provide accurate MI and commentary to support business cases
  • Strong commercial focus and financial awareness/understanding.
  • Ability to confidently negotiate, procure, plan and work with technology suppliers and standards bodies
  • Good Project Management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, communication and presentation skills

The position is central London based with occasional UK travel. Paying up to £45,000 + 20% bonus and excellent benefits including free rail travel.
