One of the world's largest retail banks have reached a point where they are crying out for help, their current monolithic product for their online banking application, at the time it was state of the art, 8 years later it's no longer fit for purpose.

We are building the team that will go in from scratch and develop a whole new banking application, this will be Java 8, Microservices and fully cloud based! It is pure Greenfield, you will not be touching the legacy code! This application will be huge, accommodating circa 3 million users globally every day.

This would be just one of the applications that you will be working on but all the projects that you work will be cloud and Greenfield!

You will gain cloud, work on the whole R&D side of this project and then get the opportunity to develop and deploy this new cloud based application! You will be working through the entire lifecycle, this will be YOUR project. You will challenge your skills of Microservices and CI/CD but this will enhance your knowledge of the entire development process!

We don't have a litney of "must haves" as we are looking for more than just technology. It would be expected though that to be successful in this role you would have experience with Java 8, Microservices, RESTful and have worked with CI/CD tools such as Maven and Jenkins.

The salary for this role is very competitive and will be based on your experience. You will also receive a 10% bonus and £2,000 for training every year. In addition there are other great perks such as company ski trip and plenty of social events.
