They have a great opportunity for a Billing Assistant to join their Manchester Finance team to be responsible for ensuring that client invoices are generate correctly and in a timely manner. This role will closely support the partners in all aspects of billing.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager you responsibilities will include:

-Take instructions to raise billing guides, write off time and disbursements and to -close files and ensure instructions are carried out
-Closing files, processing write off and raising billing guides
-Allocating VAT as applicable
-Provide accurate advice on billing queries, procedures and VAT issues
-Ensure bills are sent out and filed promptly
-Raising billing schedules in Excel

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident individual who has worked in a legal accounting environment previously. Electronic billing experience would be advantageous and strong Excel skills are essential. A good understanding of VAT regulations in relation to Solicitor Client Billing is also key.
