Scrum Master - Leading Scrum Teams for a Digital Transformation Programme - £60-65k

Scrum Master required to join an incredibly talented team (several Scrum teams and Scrum Masters) to work on a large scale Digital Transformation programme for a leading B2C real estate company based in central London.

Projects are all Greenfield and highly scalable, complex and cloud first development projects deployed to Azure, so cutting edge and career enhancing!

Reporting into a Delivery Manager the Scrum Master will be responsible for running and facilitating Scrum ceremonies from stand-ups through to retrospectives helping to nurture the capability of the team, improve processes and remove impediments.

A key focus for is for the Scrum Master to ensure the Scrum teams feel totally empowered and are self-organised.

Whilst Scrum Masters will not own the commercial direction of the project, you will have a good awareness of the commercial aspects of delivery such as 'what is the solution being delivered and it's context within that business', as well as an appreciation of the cost and/or resources required to deliver that piece of work.

Day to day Scrum Masters will track the progress of the projects using Agile tools such as Jira and Atlassian. You will be working closely with PM's / Delivery Managers to track deliverables, and highlight any potential issues around delivery before they arise.

So, what do Scrum Masters need to be successful in this role?

You will currently hold a Scrum Master position working across multiple teams and projects.
You will have a strong comprehension of technology formed from prior experience earlier in your career as a developer, support analyst, BA, PM, tester or some type of equally technical or delivery based role.

You will need to have performed at least one project where you can demonstrate that you're not a 'theory junky' and instead truly 'get' Agile and design a delivery process with your Scrum team which matches business goals.

Confident communicating with your Engineering team, working closely with them not only to remove immediate impediments, but to coach them in preventing issues from occurring on a continual basis - whether it's in development, test, scope or documentation phase.

A natural 'coaching' mentality. Demanding results simply won't work here. We will be keen to understand how you motivate your Engineering teams through effective coaching of Agile/Scrum processes, facilitating an environment where the team can perform to the best of their abilities through empowerment.

And what will Scrum Masters gain from this role?

You will form a key part of a project team that make an instant meaningful impact on the delivery of business critical functions by nurturing Agile capability and empowerment in your Scrum teams.

You will only work on greenfield projects that are designed to solve complex business problems via clear deliverables. These projects are highly Agile with fully-automated cloud deployment. You will be fully supported & developed in getting to grips with both Agile and DevOps-style approaches within a Cloud Microservices environment, but essentially you'll be spearheading and have responsibility for delivery on these projects.

There is a clear progression structure across the business. From this role you can secure promotion to a Senior Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or Project Manager position where you'll own the entire direction and delivery of projects including managing multiple scrum teams across large programmes of work.

There is a generous skills improvement budget for every single staff member and encourage self-learning in every project. If you want to learn something they will support you.
