GLOBALLY RENOWNED LUXURY RETAILER SEEKS SENIOR PLANNER / MERCHANDISER TO JOIN THRIVING HEAD OFFICE TEAM AS THEY CONTINUE TO GROW.

My Client is a multinational retailer with an ever-increasing army of dedicated customers.
Due to their continued expansion they are now looking for a Senior Planner to develop, manage and achieve Financial Plans for Product area. Targets include Sales, Gross Margin and Inventory Turn.

As they continue to expand there will be ample opportunity for career progression as well as an excellent £package.

The main responsibilities of the role will be;

1.Develop Annual financial plans, based on history, product trend and corporate goals. Plans must tie to Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly targets for Sales (Retail, Cost, Units), Gross Margin and Inventory turn. Constant evaluation of current seasonal and source inventory to forecast need for future procurement.
Strategic and Tactical Adjustments
*Forecast sales, margin, and inventory at a Department/Class level by week in the Planning system and on a monthly basis. Reforecast financial projections based on changes in business strategies, the overall retail environment and the receipt flow.

*Formulate clear guidance for use in Assortment Plans of display stock, number of weeks re-supply, carry-in and carry-out inventory.
*Partner with Buying and Visual teams to ensure accurate space/fixture information is provided to create appropriate Store Grading and manage execution to approved store capacities.

YOU WILL BE

*Able to deliver strong presentations which include financial information and business strategies. Able to tailor level of detail in presentations to reflect the audience (i.e. cross functional team or Senior Management).
*Possess excellent problem solving skills. Able to develop several business strategies to solve the problem, create a financial forecast associated with each strategy and, through analysis, determine the most profitable solution to the problem.
*Demonstrate highly developed listening, written and oral communication skills. Able to make persuasive arguments both in written and oral form. Able to reflect the appropriate sense of urgency and determine the proper business partners to resolve problems and share information.
*Able to foster relationships with other members of the cross functional team. Demonstrate strong leadership and negotiating skills. Exhibit ability to develop relationships and partner with members of the organization outside of the cross functional team (i.e. Human Resources, Visual, and Storeline).
*Possess skills in training and development
