Network Engineer - Team Leader - VoIP, Networking, Support

Leicester - £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

Network Engineer with extensive knowledge of VoIP telecommunications networking support sought by a leading technology provider for integrated business communications solutions. Their "customer first" approach starts with their highly proficient technical support function. The company pride themselves on their expert knowledge of VoIP and support their customers with this expertise from pre-sales through to service delivery.

The Network Engineer will be involved in the daily operations in a hands on capacity as well and supporting and mentoring the junior network support analysts. You will be expected to coordinate case priorities for both their UK and US customers, handle escalations and ensure smooth implementations of their hardware and software systems.

The successful Network Engineer should have:

  • Excellent understanding of Networking - QoS, VLANs, port mirroring, routing, switching and firewalls
  • Experience with VoIP telephony - overseeing the provisioning, installation and configuration of VoIP hardware
  • Knowledge of SIP - e.g. reading and understanding SIP traces
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/8/10
  • Knowledge of Mac OS
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 standards
