A leading distributor of Foodservice, Cleaning & Hygiene Disposables and other consumables, is recruiting for an experienced personable New Business Development Manager to cover their North Yorkshire region, specifically in York, Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby and surrounding areas.
This is a new position to the business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record in B2B sales in the hospitality/hotel/restaurant industry to generate new business across the region. You will be responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through to close, selling a wide range of products to the customer, as they stock over 2000 lines and actively market over 20,000 from cleaning & hygiene systems through to crockery, glassware and foodservice disposables.
To be considered, you should be based in North Yorkshire or the North Leeds area, and currently be involved in selling into the Hospitality Industry within this region. One day / half day per week you will be expected to work from their Head Office based in North Yorkshire.
You should be well presented and self- motivated with the drive to generate new business.
- Using current address book of contacts to make appointments with prospects
- Conduct one to one meetings with prospects to promote the company and its services
- Preparing quotations personally tailored to each individual customer
- Follow up quotation to each prospect, negotiate terms and close the deal.
- Manage customers by relationship through full sales cycle - ongoing
- Continually look to introducing new products into existing customers
- Responding to incoming enquiries / opportunities and act accordingly
- Cold calling prospecting with view to opening new accounts who will place weekly / fortnightly orders
- Account Management to include debt collection as required by our finance team
- Recent or current experience of selling to the Hospitality /Hotel/ Restaurant Industry, with a good live end user relationship list in the Harrogate - York region
- Possess a Full UK driving licence
- New business development / field sales experience
- Personable with excellent communication skills
Self-motivated and driven to achieve targeted results - this is a role which requires new accounts to be opened on an ongoing basis
