Hotel Sous Chef
Weston Hall Hotel is a grade two listed, 3 star hotel with 38 bedrooms, conference and banqueting facilities for up to 250 and situated on the outskirts of Nuneaton and Coventry in the Warwickshire village of Bulkington.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team as Sous Chef.
Our kitchen serves a la carte food in our Leyland Restaurant and informal bar snacks in our Newdigate Bar as well as a busy banqueting, conference and wedding trade throughout the year. We are looking for a Sous Chef to support and strengthen our friendly team. The role offers the opportunity to demonstrate cooking, leadership and individuality through working directly with our Head Chef.
As Sous Chef you must ensure the high standards are met and maintained by all, and be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and pride in the dishes that you produce. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic about working with fresh produce and have the ability to work independently as well as with others. You should have a good knowledge of cooking across all sections within the kitchen with the ability to run the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
You will possess a good knowledge of food and food hygiene. You will have experience of working in a similar kitchen environment with a sound knowledge of health and safety.
This is a full time role, 45 hours per week, working shifts between 7am and 11pm.
Candidates must be flexible and available for work any day of the week.
