External Vehicle Stock Auditor

Location: Stretching to Wolverhampton, Birmingham, and Worcester to the West, Nottingham to the North, Kings Lynn and Cambridge to the East and Northampton to the South

Salary: Up to £25,000 pa (dependant on experience) + Annual Bonus

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

MotoNovo Finance is now seeking an External Vehicle Stock Auditor to join their Dealer Funding Team!

Job Summary:

To provide MotoNovo Finance with assurance that dealer funding is being used efficiently, that the systems and controls in place are adequate to minimise and prevent the misuse of dealer funding.


Undertake audit work in a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional manner at all times

Plan a schedule of audit visits, ensuring that visits are undertaken regularly and as required, but not predictable intervals.

Undertake thorough audits on MNF funded dealers, ensuring that funding is compliant to terms and conditions, Company policies and procedures (currently and retrospectively).

Identify and investigate anomalies and draw relevant conclusions. On completion of each audit visit, submit a report to R&TSM making appropriate recommendations for management of accounts (e.g. increase/decrease, frequency of audit visits).

Identify dealer training needs for MNF dealer-funded products and services, ensuring that dealers are aware of the relevant policies and procedures. Inform relevant colleagues as appropriate to ensure that the required level of knowledge and understanding is established and maintained across the funded-dealer network.

Ensure that regular communication is maintained with the R&TSM regarding issues relating to compliance, procedures, training etc. and that these are reported in an accurate and timely manner.

Recognise and recommend to R&TSM suitable improvements to Divisional standards and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness is maintained.

Person Specification:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Full & valid UK driving licence

Previous experience as vehicle stock auditor

Experience of working within the Motor Finance Industry

Independent, objective and robust

Attention to detail and accuracy of work

Good numerical ability


Strong interpersonal skills (diplomatic, assertive)

Sound decision making and judgment skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Works on own initiative

Attention to detail and accuracy of work

Able to remain calm under pressure and in a busy environment

Excellent IT skills in Excel
