Our client is a well established and very successful event management business. They are currently looking to recruit a French-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their head office finance team in Camden.

Reporting to the AP Team Leader, the Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for the smooth management of the process of obtaining purchase invoices from both venues and auxiliary suppliers and for the management of their approval, accurate recording and posting within the system.
The role then incorporates payment of these suppliers in line with terms and at an appropriate point (often when the Credit Manager has obtained payment from the client).

The Supply Management (SM) team is also responsible for dealing with all supplier queries across the group.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Ability to deal with conflict in a diplomatic and professional way
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills
• Excellent organisational and numerical skills
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to find middle ground and resolve issues
• Excellent collaborative working skills, engaging with operations (delivery), sales and other parts of the finance team
• Excellent IT and reporting skills
• Proven ability to interpret information to deliver results
• Dynamic and enthusiastic team player
• Ability to work on own initiative and also as a key team member
• Ability to manage individual deadlines and objectives
• Ability to contribute to and work in accordance with policies and procedures
• Native French speaker with excellent written and spoken English
