Business Champion - Ideal role for a Marketing Graduate
£18,000 - £20,000

As a Marketing Graduate you will be exposed to all areas of Marketing within this forward thinking technology company. The Marketing Team covers all aspects of Commercial Marketing, with the role being exposed to the below responsibilities:

  • To put in place strategies to achieve the financial targets for the Sector.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of the market through discussion with other staff, customer visits, market analysis, industry events and vendor meetings.
  • Develop the marketing strategy for the Sector which aligns with the overall business strategy
  • In conjunction with the business, develop strategic and tactical marketing activities as required by market opportunity and/or sales targets.
  • Increase wallet share within existing accounts through profiling, marketing communications and working closely with sales team.
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce manager to develop strategies to increase web revenues.
  • Work closely with other Champions and managers to develop joint initiatives into the Sector.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and provide training to support the sales and marketing team.
  • Develop business plans and marketing plans with key vendors and help secure funding from them.
  • Recommend and support the introduction of new solutions/ vendors which provide incremental revenue opportunities and will enhance the company offering.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and deliver production schedules and quotes for approval.
  • Monitor competitor marketing activity.

Person Specification and Required Skills:

  • A high achieving graduate with preferably a marketing related degree or qualification.
  • Passionate about marketing and ideally with some commercial experience (it does not have to be in technology)
  • An understanding of or keen interest in creative technology.
  • Good analysis and reporting skills - understanding ecommerce data and turning it into information.
  • To be hardworking and flexible; to be eager to learn and motivated by results.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and show business awareness.
  • Be a confident communicator with the skill to convey information clearly and concisely at all levels.
  • Have the confidence, self-motivation and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
