Python Developer - Reading

I am looking for a Python developer to join one of the world's largest domain name and hosting providers.

The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic attitude for their work with significant commercial experience in creating secure, high-performance web applications.

The company is now keen to improve existing systems and extend it's product range, providing the opportunity for many exciting development projects.

The Candidate:-

PHP, Python and MySQL applications form the core of all of the companies systems and are used to manage the email, web hosting and server product infrastructures.

You will have a good general understanding of Internet technologies and their underlying protocols, such as HTTP, SMTP and DNS.

You will use your experience in Python programming to create systems that integrate, automate and control their network, data centre, web portal, billing, reseller and back office infrastructure, including the provisioning systems for their dedicated server products, exposing those systems to internal and external customers via our API and contributing to its development.

Working with sensitive and business critical data requires a thorough understanding of security and data integrity issues on the Internet

Experience of Agile software development is desirable.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Agile methodologies, software development and technology, and have demonstrable problem solving skills

Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and working to applicable W3C standards is also required.

Experience of working in an Agile software development environment, together with jQuery and knowledge of XML, Web Services, MVC and Zend Framework would be desirable.
