About us

Prospects is part of Livability, a leading UK Christian charity that works with disabled people and local communities to achieve social inclusion, empowerment and justice and gives disabled and disadvantaged people real choice about how they live their lives.

Role requirements

Located in the seaside town of Broadstairs, Lynton House is a well-established residential service, supporting 8 people with learning disabilities to lead an active and independent life. In our most recent CQC inspection, we were rated as 'Good’.

We are looking for two support workers to join our passionate and dedicated staff team.
You will be required to help people live an independent life, supporting them with personal care needs, participating in community activities and have an ability to work in a person-centred way. You will help to develop risk assessments that are reviewed and updated regularly.

Being able to drive is desirable, as many of the people supported at Lynton House enjoy participating in community day services and activities.

About you

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you will:

• write clear, accurate records
• use initiative; make decisions; respond appropriately in an emergency
• be able to work well within a team
