Head of Humanities, Small Middle School Ks2 and Ks3. Upper Pay Rate

This Redditch based middle school are looking to appoint a Head of Humanities to commence work in September. The ideal candidate will have either a Geography, History or RE specialism background.

This schools most recent Ofsted was 'Good' and pupils are described as respectful towards any behaviour policies in place.

They have a high percentage of Free School Meal / FSM students who are supported in core subjects with smaller class sizes and mentoring/intervention. Teachers within this school have a good support network in place.

The academy accommodates for students aged 9-13 and upon leaving the school in year 8 are said to have developed at a rate just above the national average demonstrating that teaching is at a good - outstanding level as mentioned in the schools Ofsted report.

To be successful in this job you will need to be a strong subject practitioner across all 3 humanities subjects as you will be expected to oversee all subjects. Ideally you will come from a middle school background and be familiar with the set-up of this sort of academy; this is not essential and candidates from a primary and secondary setting will be considered providing you can demonstrate all the skills required to teach at Ks2 and Ks3.

In order to be successfully appointed in to this Head of Humanities Job you will need to be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic and dedicated attitude to teaching humanities in schools. You will need to be punctual and organised with a real passion towards seeing students succeed and delivering good grades.
