Ridgeons is East Anglia’s largest independent Builders Merchant and we’re passionate about Building Better Careers.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced manager to lead our St Neots branch to further success. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational success of the branch with responsibility for achieving plan through sales, margin and profitability.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Develop, agree, monitor and control the branch performance against plan and KPIs
Develop the branch business plan in conjunction with Area General Manager/Head of Region
Manage the branch operating costs by minimising controllable overheads
Lead, motivate and manage colleagues to fulfil their maximum potential
Manage and monitor branch stock profile and accuracy levels
Oversee Health & Safety compliance including training, accident and incident reporting, audits and housekeeping
Work closely with External Sales to understand competitor activity and market conditions and react accordingly
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers
Identify and propose new business opportunities
Create and inspire behaviours to deliver extraordinary customer service
