Telephone Sales and customer service representative
We currently require a friendly and outgoing person with a strong personality for a hugely varied role within our well established, 27 year old Family business.
There will be a very strong emphasis on telephone sales and customer service issues generated by our website. All calls are incoming and there is no 'cold calling’
Dealing directly with our customers by phone you should possess the ability to gain confidence, up sell and close sales with the help of our website and 'live’ stock system. All orders will be processed to completion by liaising with our suppliers, couriers and customers to provide an outstanding service.
Customer service issues are an equally important part of this position and calmness under pressure is essential, as is the ability to grasp a situation and rectify problems.
When a thorough understanding of the role is attained there may be additional roles to perform, for example, inputting of some information onto the website, for which full training will be given. Use of Microsoft Excel and Word would be an advantage.
The role is based at our Middlesbrough logistics facility and is office based.
The position is full time, working 40 hours per week which will include some weekends and a commission scheme is in place once probationary and training periods are completed.
