Position:              Business Development Manager

Location:             London – home based, travel into London

Salary:                 £40,000-£60,000 + Bonus

Duration:             Permanent

The Company

My client are a leading Lighting Consultancy based in London who specialising in Luxury and High End Residential projects.  Due to success and growth they are currently looking for a Business Development Manager/Networker to join their team.

Duties of the Business Development Manager:

- Frequent meetings with agents and third parties to generate enquiries, gain introductions, and for the acquisition of ‘hot’ market information.
- Frequent conversations (face to face, text, email and phone) with key referral channels and gathering of qualitative information.
- Making appointments with new contacts. (Project leads and contact details will be fed to you by the in-house sales & marketing team.)
- Weekly introduction of new market leads to support existing market intelligence.
- Monthly progress reports at a team meeting to review top leads.
- Running networking events, breakfast meetings, lunches etc.
- Attending industry forums and conferences.

Requirements of the Business Development Manager:

- In-depth knowledge of super-prime residential and luxury hospitality market.
- At least 10 years of accumulated experience with firms specialising in super-prime residential and / or luxury hospitality markets.
- Proven track record of business development / networking / building relationships.
- A good number of previous contacts in this sector.

- Presentable, well-assured and smart/corporate.
- Fluent, well-spoken English is essential.
- Affable and pleasant, with excellent teamworking and people skills.
- Creative thinker.
- Open-minded and willing to learn new skills.
- Excellent memory for names & project details!
- Good gravitas and senior executive style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with integrity, a lot of initiative and ‘drive’, and self-motivated.
