We are seeking an experienced and talented Sales Engineer to join our team to provide support to our growing MSP Channel. Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager, The Sales Engineer is part of the UK&I sales team. Seeking individuals who are driven to on-board new MSPs and expand the Datto Cloud throughout the UK&I and ensure more business benefit from the exciting range of Datto products. You will be expected to help develop and enable Sales Engineers based in our channel partners, as well as work directly with the channel sales team as part of their channel enablement plans. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Datto Sales Team(s) and partners to formulate and implement both tactical and strategic sales initiatives
  • Actively participate in Channel QBR and Partner Plan reviews
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive products to enable the capability to effectively address and dispel partner objections to Datto solutions
  • Identify and present training that accelerates the development of Partner technical resources
  • Work with the Sales team/s to define and execute the Channel Recruitment and enablement strategy
  • Drive coordination of technical resources both internally and externally as needed to close prospective opportunities Create development plans for all partner-based technical resources to enable partner autonomy
  • Analyse partner’s business objectives by asking probing questions that are relevant to partner and prospects markets and industries.
  • Assist in increasing Channel and end-user adoption of Datto products through events and training, seminars, webinars, technical trainings, and other activities as appropriate.
  • Present on Datto products to small and large audiences
  • Work directly with partners and (via partners) customers to sell and educate around Datto products.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive products to enable the capability to effectively address and dispel partner objections to Datto solutions
  • Train partners and sales colleagues on Datto products from a technical perspective
  • Travel (when needed) for face to face meetings and events

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • BDR, Networking and virtual environment experience
  • Core understanding of Linux based systems Experience with the MSP marketplace
  • Strong industry related experience with a previous background in technical sales
  • High motivation, passionate, results-oriented
  • Ability to influence technology and MSP business decision with Datto solution
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility
