Company profile for the Senior Development Manager:

Duties for the Senior Development Manager:

*Establish the key date programme for the whole life of the project including the application and appeal programme
*Manage the Technical/Legal/Planning constraints associated with potential land acquisitions post identification on programmes with and without consent.
*Manage the consultant teams' bid submissions for development opportunities as required.
*Manage the handover of approved schemes to the delivery team
*Line management responsibility on designs and quality of projects
*Process the technical and legal due diligence in land acquisition and ensure sensitivity testing
*Professionally represent the company at all meetings
*Ensure that any reports produced internally or by consultants are accurate
*Work closely with the pre-construction team, suggesting and implement ideas.
*Take financial responsibility for a portfolio of projects, with some directly managed & some delegated
*Take responsibility for pre planning key dates and fee budgets
*Liaise with the Finance and Development Director to ensure adequate funding can be secured.
*Obtain Director level approval for Bid submissions.
*Prepare detailed cash flow viabilities and update the appraisals periodically.
*Manage the disposal of affordable units with Registered Providers.
*Provide line manager support to Development Manager & Assistant Development Surveyor
*Perform staff appraisals and act as Supervisor to any trainees undertaking their APC
*Ensure that the pre-planning team are set clear briefs and deadlines

Skills and experience profile for the Senior Development Manager:

Several years working experience;
*Post qualification (RICS or CIOB) or qualified by experience.
*Proven experience managing residential developments through acquisition, planning to handover
*Managing technical/legal and planning constraints
*Financial management of a portfolio of projects
*Quality control of multi-phased schemes
*Leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team
*Strong communication and management skills.
*Instinctive commercial attitude and approach

Package for the Senior Development Manager:
Basic salary: £75,000+ (depending on experience)
