Reed Education Bristol are currently working with a great SEN school on an exciting new role in the North Bristol area. To start in September 2017, this Special Educational Needs learning provision are looking to appoint a qualified Teacher of SEN on a permanent basis.

The Role:

• You will be responsible for planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum to all pupils in the class.
• You will identify individual needs and provide effective teaching in a safe, stimulating and supportive environment.
• Alongside the Learning Support Assistants in your class, you will provide support and guidance to children and young people and ensure they achieve their full educational potential.

What you will need:

• Diploma or Degree level qualifications in Education or Teaching.
• First Aid qualification.
• Previous experience of working with people with learning difficulties and managing challenging behaviour.
• Up-to-date, working knowledge and understanding of range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies.
• Effective time management and good communication skills.
• You must be open to the Steiner School way of learning. Experience of working in a Steiner School is desirable.
