Advertising Sales Manager
Do you have experience in an Advertising Sales Manager role, or similar, and a proven ability in growing a client database? We are working with an expanding and exciting local company looking for someone to join their team. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of the local area and be a self-starter!
You will be working with a motivated, creative and dynamic team which is growing.
Responsibilities for the Advertising Sales Manager:
- Managing a current client base and identifying new avenues to grow your client base
- Developing new business opportunities and advertising feature ideas
- Offering a price and negotiating around it, closing the deal and recording details
- Developing relationships through calling a pre-defined number of new companies every day, and consistently hitting calling targets
- Forecasting and analysing data for potential opportunities using MS Excel
- Offering support to the sales team when creating sales
- Consistently achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets
- Proof reading advertising copy and editorial submitted
- Organising the team, making sure deadlines are met and advert copy is received.
Skills and Experience needed for this Advertising Sales Manager role:
- Previous experience as an Advertising Sales Manager or similar
- A good telephone manner
- Local knowledge
- Understanding of digital and social media
- The ability to build relationships with customers
- Diplomacy and patience
- The ability to work under pressure and meet targets, persuasive ability
- Excellent understanding of the English language
- Excellent MS Office and IT skill
- Confidence with technology and the ability to pick up new systems and softwarequickly
