Do you have experience in an Advertising Sales Manager role, or similar, and a proven ability in growing a client database? We are working with an expanding and exciting local company looking for someone to join their team. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of the local area and be a self-starter!

You will be working with a motivated, creative and dynamic team which is growing.

Responsibilities for the Advertising Sales Manager:

  • Managing a current client base and identifying new avenues to grow your client base
  • Developing new business opportunities and advertising feature ideas
  • Offering a price and negotiating around it, closing the deal and recording details
  • Developing relationships through calling a pre-defined number of new companies every day, and consistently hitting calling targets
  • Forecasting and analysing data for potential opportunities using MS Excel
  • Offering support to the sales team when creating sales
  • Consistently achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets
  • Proof reading advertising copy and editorial submitted
  • Organising the team, making sure deadlines are met and advert copy is received.

Skills and Experience needed for this Advertising Sales Manager role:

  • Previous experience as an Advertising Sales Manager or similar
  • A good telephone manner
  • Local knowledge
  • Understanding of digital and social media
  • The ability to build relationships with customers
  • Diplomacy and patience
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet targets, persuasive ability
  • Excellent understanding of the English language
  • Excellent MS Office and IT skill
  • Confidence with technology and the ability to pick up new systems and softwarequickly
