Facilities/ General Manager - Bedfordshire - Upto £35k + Car Allowance + Pension

My Client is a Commercial property consultancy based in Bedfordshire. They are looking for an experienced Facilities / General Manager to join their successful business.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the building and/or maintenance industry (although not essential) but will have held a similar position at managerial level. The candidate will work closely with the maintenance manager and offer support in the day to day maintenance of the commercial property portfolio. The candidate will be expected to take an active role in Health & Safety compliance and support the Maintenance Manager in landlord/tenant communication.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing insurance claims and organising quotations
  • Supervise and oversee H&S documentation/ Risk Assessments in liaison with the Maintenance Manager
  • Organise and maintain register of annual gas and relevant utilities certification (both landlord and tenant)
  • Organise annual utility contracts and price negotiation
  • Oversee BT/Data issues (In conjunction with specialist contractors)
  • Liaise with rating and valuation officers in regard to unlet and occupational dates
