Distinct are recruiting a fabulous opportunity working for an exciting leading Retailer. The position of Category Buyer is a fast paced, challenging and rewarding position working from their operation based in West Yorkshire.
THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of Category Buyer will play a pivotal role procuring services for various sites across the UK. Not only will you be sourcing, identifying and working with new suppliers, you will perform key negotiations and manage the existing supplier base. You will be involved with the preparation of contracts looking at SLA’s and KPI’s for suppliers.
Do you enjoy supply chain development and strategy? This will form a key part of this role where you will be responsible for developing all services and working towards identifying spend opportunities and supplier consolidation.
We are looking to speak to procurement professionals who have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst developing strategy. You will have the ability to work to process whilst thinking at creative ways to influence and work with suppliers. What is important is that you are passionate about procurement and be keen to develop your skills further.
