As a Quality & Health and Safety Manager, you would need to have experience working as a Quality, Health and Safety Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of internal & external audits
  • Maintaining periodic test requirements and product standards whilst building rapports with the relevant certification bodies
  • Completing inductions with staff on the company's policies regarding Quality and Health and Safety.
  • Completing statistical reports, full cost analysis and preventative planning in order to impact future productivity of the business
  • Improving existing products
  • Ensuring the Health and Safety at Work Act and any other relevant legislation is adhered to within the business
  • Conducting accident investigations, ensuring First Aid provision, fire procedures, on-going training in your specialist areas and lead the H & S Supervisory Committee
  • Managing the quality control department

Required Skills:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read engineering drawings is essential
  • Experience/knowledge of Health and Safety is desirable
  • Utilisation of lean tools, 5S, 8d, 5whys and root cause analysis
  • Experience in measuring Supplier performance and carrying out assessments
  • Press work/tooling knowledge would be an advantage
  • Background in Automotive or Aerospace would be an advantage
  • Experience of using Sage is desirable
  • IOSH Membership desirable
