Reed Education Bristol are currently working with a great SEN school on an exciting new role in the North Bristol area for an experienced SEN LSA. To start ASAP, this Special Educational Needs learning provision are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a permanent basis.

• The school is situated within a stunning and tranquil park where the children can feel relaxed and at home whilst learning.

The Role: 

• Under the guidance of the class teacher and Senior LSA, you will provide reliable and consistent support for the class in all aspects of the school curriculum.
• You will be required to work with individuals or small groups of pupils, with primary responsibility for an allocated pupil.
• It will be your duty to ensure each pupil has equal opportunity and resources to learn.
• You may be required to carry out some aspects of personal care for the pupils, such as toileting and personal hygiene.

What you will need:

• GCSE Maths and English qualifications at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Experience of working with children/young people with learning difficulties and managing challenging behaviour.
• Good communication skills, patience and a sense of humour.
• Openness to the Rudolf Steiner/Curative Education way of learning. Experience of working in a Steiner School is desirable.
