E-Learning Designer, Developer, Technologist (Part Time) : Moodle, Adobe, HTML, CSS

Client based in Birmingham, West Midlands - Home based role (all kit supplied)

Will consider home worker in East Midlands , Home Counties (Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire), North England - Stoke, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield etc. Good for M6, M5, M40, M42 Corridor access.

3 year fixed term contract with £35,000 per annum salary pro rata for a 20 hour week (with pro rata annual leave)

Respected Medical Charitable foundation, requires a dynamic, innovative eLearning Technologist / Learning Designer within the Training and Education Unit to lead the next stage of the development of their blended education & training programmes into an online learning environment. The successful candidate will be the eLearning development specialist with the organisation.

The successful candidate will work with the training team to plan, develop, design, and deliver integrated online education & training content to support training in specialist medical examinations.

The Role:

Develop and write innovative and interactive learning content to meet functional learning objectives in eLearning environments

Manage end-to-end production of new and updated eLearning courses within the learning curriculum, including, needs analysis, project planning, coordination, instructional design, writing, editing, multimedia development, quality assurance, usability testing, delivery, and evaluation

Provide expert guidance for Training Specialists on the production of multi-media rich and diverse performance supports in all training programs

Liaise with members of the charity executive, IT subcommittees and the secretariat to drive continuous improvement in all training processes and delivery methodologies

Work with external eLearning management system provider and escalate quality issues as required

Conducting needs assessment and training analysis

Creating learning environments for specific target audiences

Integrating instructional design theories and practices to the existing LMS

Have up to date knowledge of current trends/best practice in the eLearning sector and learning pedagogy

Suggest and implement new and innovative solutions for the delivery of online training and support

CriticalCompetencies: skills and abilities required for the role:

Life science degree in eLearning/Instructional Design (Masters desirable)

Expert in as many as possible of the following software/technologies:

MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Moodle, Camtasia, Audacity, Web 2.0 technologies, and Google Analytics

Proficiency with the following software/technologies preferred: HTML, CSS

Ability to write and edit storyboards, interactive scripts, and other training/learning documentation

Ability to translate complex concepts and training materials into eLearning modules/courses

Strong project management skills - you must possess strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise projects

Ability to demonstrate understanding of learning design and learning outcomes appropriate to the range of training content within the organisation

Pride in attention to detail

The candidate must be creative with a good eye for design concepts

Good communications skills and the ability to work as part of the training team.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong digital technology / web design skills

Strong report writing skills with an understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Strong interest in emerging technologies to support 'just in time learning' for busy health professionals and key stakeholders
