We are looking for an experienced programme manager with experience of delivering high value education construction projects.

The local authority has a pipeline of education projects over the next three years totalling over £80 million, they are looking for an outstanding programme manager to lead a team of project managers to deliver a portfolio of education construction projects.

The successful candidate will play a lead role in a multi-disciplinary team who are responsible the Capital Programme which is delivered by contracting the construction industry.

The role will involve for the strategic development, monitoring, management and successful delivery of new build schools, expansions and refurbishment projects including planned maintenance.

These projects are linked to statutory requirements to provide adequate school places which and have a substantial impact on the councils services and reputation. The post will include strategically developing, procuring managing and maintaining long term relationships with multiple contractors and external consultants to support the successful development and delivery of the programme.

This is a chance to be part of a highly motivated client side team to broaden your knowledge and use your technical skills and expertise. The role requires a good understanding of project management, a track record of collaborative working, excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to respond to deadlines.
