In 2017, The Lister Hospital will be opening a brand new Inpatient Oncology/Acute Medical unit at the main hospital site to support the opening of the Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) new chemo day case suite in the heart of Chelsea.

As Staff Nurse you will provide a high level of care for patients by assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care. Within a supported working environment you will be responsible and accountable for your own practice within the clinical area and for delivering a quality service at all times. Additionally, you will actively help to promote the services of the unit within The Lister Hospital and will initiate and contribute to research based care and other practice development initiatives
This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week
The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £31,630 - £35,822 + 9% shift enhancement and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of all patients
- Participate in the development of clinical initiatives to provide an optimal service to patients and Consultants
- Provide patients and families with information regarding the care and management of their condition
- Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Communicate and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions
- Recognise and take appropriate action in emergency situations
Skills & Experience
We're looking for exceptional people to support this new service and although we are looking for nurses with an oncology, we will consider nurses with acute medical experience and a keen interest in oncology.
