Senior QA Analyst / Tester

Location: Nottingham
Salary: £20,000- £25,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Status: Full-Time, Permanent.

Main Purpose of Role:
As a Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester, you will aim to ensure that the Wilmington Healthcare product portfolio is fit for purpose, consistent and meets both external and internal requirements.

This includes compliance against information governance standards and customer expectations. The post holder will work closely with the healthcare analyst and Operational delivery teams in coordinating activities to meet quality standards and to ensure all of our work meets our high standards. You will also work as part of the ISO working committee to ensure quality and data security are kept in line with the relevant ISO standards.

This is a hands on role so alongside defining and improving quality processes you will be required to create test plans, and perform product tests.

• To work under the guidance of the Operational Management team
• Ensuring reports, data tabulations and insight dashboards are accurate, high quality and meet data suppression standards
• Quality assurance of a wide range of Wilmington Healthcare Products to ensure that Wilmington Healthcare and customer requirements are met.
• You will be required to perform product tests including functional testing, regression testing, system testing, performance testing and acceptance testing.
• Peer review and QA bespoke analytical outputs against the project scope and data warehouse/information assets.
• Follow and continually enhance quality assurance processes/ procedures and document findings in a suitable format.
• Maintain quality assurance documentation and ensure that it has been completed and stored securely for review as and when needed.
• Be responsible for creating test plans.
• Create, edit and update user guides, sign off packs, deployment documentation, product functional specifications and training slides as and when appropriate.
• Liaise with IT team for product updates or bug fixes.
• Keep up to date with respect to the relevant research literature, regular updates in key NHS datasets and key external policies
• Produce data extracts and analytical outputs to use as a benchmark during the QA process
• Work as part of the ISO working committee to ensure compliance to relevant ISO standards
• Work across different WHC sites as necessary
• Other tasks as required by the business

Essential Experience required:
• Some experience of product/software testing.
• Experience of quality assurance, processes and procedures.
• Confidence in effectively using and working with IT and the internet is essential.
• Experience of producing test plans.
• Desirable/Advantageous experience:
• Experience of using testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of the NHS or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of Hospital Episode Statistics and other NHS data
• Knowledge and Experience of ISO9001 and ISO27001.
