Located in Bicester, this company are looking for an accounts assistant to join the busy finance department on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate can take on more responsibility and grow their accountancy career over time internally if desired.
Our client are a global business with an SME feel, allowing the successful candidate great exposure to a wide variety of accounting duties giving variation and continued challenging work.
Duties of the successful accounts assistant will include:
Assisting the accountants with overhead cost analysis and forecasting, by preparation of schedules and investigating queries.
Posting petty cash and foreign currency transactions into SAP. Reconcile monthly including counting the cash. Responsible for petty cash controls and issuing cash to authorized employees.
Preparation of cost reports.
Posting monthly accruals and prepayments, and daily banking transactions into SAP. Assist with resolution of banking transaction queries.
Analysis of costs for the tax computations.
Assist with preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
Assisting the Purchase Ledger Controller with matching purchase invoices to POs, processing in SAP and purchase ledger payment runs. Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Preparation of National Statistic Returns
To carry out the monthly inter-company reconciliations, liaising with Head Office and all group subsidiaries as necessary. Preparation of intercompany charges including recycled cartridges
Process all manual invoices/credits
Support the wider finance team with any questions, queries and administrative tasks including filing.
Any other ad hoc tasks as instructed by the Finance Manager
To be considered for this role, candidates are required to have previous transactional accounting experience and be familar working in a busy accounts department.
A starting salary of between £20,000- £24,000 is being offered, alongside an excellent AAT study package if desired.
