Our client are industry leaders in the development and delivery of secure mobile telecommunications solutions. As an exciting, growing company, they are expanding their services and, to meet this need, require a talented Support Engineer, to join the team.

Their primary platforms are based on Linux operating systems, so a good knowledge of supporting and configuring servers and networks in this environment is required. As we have equipment and customers in a number of different countries and time zones, the role will involve occasional travel to assist with installation and support of software and hardware at these locations

Skill Set

·Technical background in Linux operating systems (specifically Red Hat and CentOS)

·Experience with a number of different manufacturer’s network equipment

·Experience of virtualisation technologies, such as VMware

·Familiarity with VoIP and associated protocols (SIP/RTP)

·Product testing experience

·Technical background in supporting servers, operating systems and software applications

·Experience in a server or network support environment e.g. a NOC or customer service desk

·Knowledge of IP addressing, TCP/IP; network technologies and industry best practices for operational network security
