Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are assisting this key client to recruit for an Audit Manager for their Milton Keynes based accountancy firm. The role is suitable for an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years' external audit experience looking to join a high profile Top 20 accountancy firm with multiple career paths.

This award winning top tier firm of chartered accountants support a wide range of clients from a network of offices around the UK. The firm is renowned for its audit work in particular and is looking to strengthen and expand its current audit team to increase its delivery capacity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountancy professional with practice based audit experience to join a forward thinking firm at an exciting time in its development. Based out of their Milton Keynes office and reporting to the Audit Partner, your role would entail managing a sizeable audit team to provide audit service to a wide-ranging portfolio of clients spanning Buckinghamshire and beyond.

This progressive accountancy firm delivers a variety of services to corporate and SME entities, including a number of internationally owned companies. Because of the wealth of different service lines offered, the successful candidate would have exposure to working alongside Corporate Finance, Wealth Management and Restructuring teams (to name a few) and thus have a great opportunity to develop a wider commercial understanding.

Key responsibilities include;

* Taking full management responsibility for a team of Audit staff both in the field and in the office
* Attending post audit client meetings
* The planning & completion of audits for a wide and varied client portfolio including SME's and larger enterprises
* Extensive use of Case Ware
* Providing clients with advice on systems, business issues and improvements
* Relationship management for a portfolio of audit clients (in conjunction with the Audit Partner)
* Client communication via both phone and email, including the writing of reports

The ideal candidate for the role will be fully ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 4 years' practical hands-on audit experience within accountancy practice. You will need to demonstrate technical knowledge of recent developments in accounting standards.

You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. This is a client-facing role so excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels will be required. Confident individuals are required for this Audit Manager Job which will also involve building relationship with potential clients and assisting the Partners with developing the fee base.
