Role: IT Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Location: South London with travel

An innovative medical organisation want to on-board a motivated, service focused IT Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to bridge the gap between technology and strategy through excellent service delivery. Working directly with, and deputising for the Head of IT, you will lead excellent service provision and immerse yourself with how the IT department moves forward. You will be involved with supporting the desktop, network and server infrastructures, managing new projects to implement change and also manage a small team of support staff.

The role requires somebody with an exceptional understanding of IT Operations and Service Delivery, business acumen and project management. You will have extensive experience managing people, teams, budgets, projects and systems.


* Assist, and deputise for, the Head of IT in all matters relating to the IT department
* Advise on budgetary matters and help to manage
* Provide hands-on support to the network, server and desktop infrastructures
* Ensure acceptable service is provided in accordance to SLA agreements
* Provide leadership and mentoring to junior support staff
* Manage a number of 3rd party contracts and contacts
* Manage projects to provide a seamless implementation of new systems and improvements
* Build relationships with all members of the organisation to improve the reputation of the IT department
* Identifying improvements and adaptations to service, in order to maximise user satisfaction
* Be responsible for bid management and service bids to new clients


* At least 10 years experience with IT infrastructure, operations and cyber security
* Able to provide 1st to 3rd line support
* Knowledge of ITIL service delivery framework and when to implement this
* Ability to manage projects using PRINCE2 methodologies
* Experience of leading IT Operations and Service
* Understanding of VMWare, Office 365, Networking technologies, telephony, Windows Server technologies
* Have a strong business insight with experience of dealing with budgets
* Ability to understand organisational objectives and to integrate IT services to achieve this
