Internal Quality Assurer - H&SC South London
One of the UK's largest providers of Education, Skills and Training are looking for an IQA in Health & Social Care to cover the South London and Hampshire areas.
Purpose of the role
Responsible for the quality assurance sampling of qualifications within an occupational area, supporting the Regional Trainer/Assessors to interpret, understand and apply the standards and assessment requirements the learners are working towards.
Conduct quality assurance activities of qualifications allocated through on going desktop verification.
Ensure that all awarding organisation standards/ polices/ processes are maintained.
Support the Regional Trainer/Assessor with assessment methodology remotely via Skype and webinars or face to face.
Produce sampling plans based on risk and follow and update these through desk based sampling, Lync and observation of practice to uphold the quality of the qualification, maintaining a clear audit trail of activity.
Where required give clear action plans that are SMART and support the Regional Trainer/Assessors to achieve actions.
Ensure that sampling follows the internal sampling / quality assurance strategy and awarding organisation requirements.
Work with AM and RTT to ensure new RT's successfully complete their onboarding programme and CAVA timely
Ensure team are using the most up to date resources include online platforms i.e. FUSE and ITC assessment software
Maintain and evaluate occupational CPD by following agreed development plans, which supports agreed areas of improvement
Support and encourage the use of the Learner Visit Standard
Monitor CPD outcomes for RTs and build PDPs to support and improvements.
Provide information, advice and guidance to RT team to support learner obsession
Key Performance Indicators
95% of new RTs are inducted into occupation standards within 1 month of start date.
Full compliance of occupational awarding body requirements and documents
100% of RTs have an up to date IQA support and development plan.
Contribute to Standardisation and CPD plan and materials and deliver sessions to RT teams as required. (Standardisation every 8 weeks)
Champion the use of technology to drive Fuse participation target of 80%
All RTs to be sampled and observed in line with risk (RAG) banding.
Experience/Skills Required -
H&SC qualifications to a minimum of level 3
Assessing qualification (CAVA/A1 or equivalent)
Functional Skills level 2 in Maths, English and ICT
Experience of working in high demand environments, to targets and tight deadlines
Strong communication and self-motivation skills
Experience of working autonomously
Experience of operating within WBL/education environment
