This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a budding to mid level C#.NET Web Developer to join a brand new in-house web development team within a large established high-tech corporate manufacturer. This is a new team, so there will be no support work or legacy systems to maintain, just brand new greenfield projects to work on using all the latest technology - all MVC and other latest technologies like AngularJS, Git, Teamcity, Bootstrap, NHibernate, Entity Framework and Umbraco and Sitecore CMS.
This company are looking for an experienced Web Developer who can add their own input to that list in a real dynamic environment where your input will be taken on board and valued. There is no red tape or bureaucracy, just a small talented team who want to push the boundaries of web development.
1-2 years + Web development experience on a commercial footing with C#.Net and MVC
Degree educated or having equivalent commercial experience (a relevant year out in industry mid-degree will count)
Proven web development experience on the MS platform
Ability to write SQL and Stored procedures
Ability to discuss user requirements clearly
Nice to have's:
CMS Experience (Umbraco/Sitecore in particular)
Exposure to Test driven development (TDD)
Experience with CSS3 and HTML5
Any automated build tools experience (Teamcity etc)
Any development of mobile apps with Android, IOS, Phone Gap or similar
Experience of working to Agile methods
Ready and willing to employ new technologies!
To attend project and team meetings and liaise with other Developers, Systems Analysts, Management and end users, in discussing system development and design
Develop code in line with best security practices
Working with various functional departments and IT to identify and resolve any problems with the applications, including liaising with end users and recording activity
Carrying out application testing to ensure changes meet user requirements
Provide guidance and support (especially, but not necessarily exclusively) to Junior Web Developers in the areas of full-life-cycle software development.
