Senior Supply Chain Manager - LONDON - Travel throughout Europe - £65k + Bonus

Amazing opportunity with a would leading technology comapny within the Telecommuncations industry. Working with the worlds leading Mobile Phone network operators and manufacturers. Multi billion $ organisation that employs over 17,000 people world-wide.

The Senior Manager Operations within SCM (Supply Chain Management) is responsible for overseeing the operation within each in scope country. This includes the operational strategy for optimised fulfilment i.e. local vs centralised operation.

This Senior Supply Chain manager role works collaboratively with other key local and global cross functional stakeholder groups for strategy building and other opportunities. This role ensures that all aspects of 3PL (Third Party Logistics) and supply chain operations are conducted efficiently and effectively and will use "lean" methodologies to drive opportunities for improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Creating and implementing operational short and long term strategy

• Management of 3rd party logistics providers including 3PL, transportation providers and other as applicable including service levels, quality and commercial aspects

• Responsible for ensuring the operation is running as efficiently and effectively as possible, reporting on performance, identifying and prioritising areas for improvement via lean process reviews as well as leading cost saving and value creating initiatives

• Manage the in country operations to the required service levels, quality and commercial targets

• Responsibility for all Operational Dashboard reporting

• Lead on Operational Continuous Improvement projects and drive operational improvements

• Work effectively within a matrix environment and have significant interaction with functional teams such as Inventory Management, Supplier Management, Quality, Finance, Client Services and Care

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant external suppliers. Gains understanding of each supplier’s internal supply chain processes and uses this information to benefit the overall Asurion supply chain.

• Manage projects that implement the identified opportunities for improvement, cost savings and value creation initiatives

• Facilitate sharing of 'Best Practice’ between regions

• Establish and sustain strong customer relationship management through effective communication and support for all internal customers

• Support new country launches and lead new in country client launches

• Work to become SME (Subject Matter Expert) on warehouse operating systems

• Support in the improvement of management information to enable SCM access to the right data at the right time to make key business decisions

• Work with Procurement to conduct regular RFI/RFP/RFQ processes to drive operational improvements

• Work with relevant stakeholders to identify areas of risk, profile and create resolution i.e. BCP planning

• Ensure adherence to UK and European legislation where applicable, e.g. FSA WEEE regs, ROHS, Tax and VAT

Travel across Europe will be required

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Qualification Degree level or significant experience in a similar role European language skills would be of benefit but not required Experience required

? Excellent working knowledge of warehousing, transportation, repairers and/or technology goods

? Minimum 5 years in supply chain and/or supplier management related role

? Good working knowledge of Lean processes or Project management Competencies/skills

? Excellent verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills

? Ability to communicate and influence at multiple levels of the organisation

? Ability to influence executive leadership and make decisions

? Possess strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills

? Ability to react, in a proactive way to 'crisis’ situations
