Applications Engineer - Materials Testing
An opportunity to join a growing specialist within the field of video-based, non-contact precision measurement used in material testing and structural monitoring as an Applications Engineer. The systems the company offer have many benefits which ultimately save the user time and money, while providing a measurement capability far beyond any technology on the market today. This has resulted them quickly growing a worldwide reputation and customer base. Recent customers for the company have included Rolls Royce, Airbus, Network Rail, BAE Systems and many of the current F1 teams.
The majority of Applications Engineers time will be spent supporting existing customers, demonstrating the technology to new potential customers and undertaking consultancy assignments for the structures side of their business. Much of this work will be targeted towards supporting the activity of the sales team to win orders in the Material Testing, Components and Assemblies and Structural Monitoring businesses. This aspect of the job will call for the individual to spend time developing application solutions against client specific needs and demonstrating the technology to interested partners as and when required. The Application Engineer will also be responsible for making sure that all business partners (current customers, potential customers, interested parties, distributors, representatives and OEMs) are proactively supported. Part of the responsibilities will include the training of all current and potential users so they understand all aspects of the system and how to get the best results when used for material testing and structural monitoring.
To be successful in your application you will have a minimum of a HNC in Civil Engineering or in a Materials related subject and a full driving licence. Whilst it is preferred that you will have experience of technical product support to a variety of end users, we will also consider those working in a non customer facing role keen to progress in this area.
