Bring your expertise in co-ordinating design and architecture toArqiva, global leader in communications infrastructure.

In this Technical Design Authority role, which reports to our Head of Networks,you’ll be responsible for all design delivery. Working on our network transformation programme, which is responsible for broadcast traffic ranging from DAB radio to mobile phone traffic and Terrestrial TV, you’ll establish a structured design framework and the technical aspects of the design, build and implementation of the network transformation programme. With a focus on design in-line with the overall programme delivery, through to implementation and handover, you’ll be responsible for governance and quality assurance, including approval of all workstream designs. Key deliverables include:

  • business case input and validation
  • high-level contribution to the detailed design requirement specifications
  • Approval of detailed design packs for each technology and site
  • Approval of circuit and service migration packs

Educated to degree level, you have a proven track record co-ordinating design and architecture and delivering whole-site designs, underpinned by experience of building and influencing relationships with senior stakeholderswithin a communications/broadcast/telecoms/IP/network engineering environment. Your high-level understanding of the diverse technologies employed (MPLS - NGN’s and Microwave, IP and Optical networks) complements your ability to provide solution/technology assurance to ensure compliance to architectural standards and roadmaps. Your excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and enthuse teams match your experience of large-scale roll-out programmes. With the pragmatism and acumen to apply technical and architectural solutions to solve business-critical challenges, you can also offer:

  • the ability to distil complex and diverse information regarding unfamiliar technologies
  • experience managing a team of designers
  • ideally, architecture certification.
