With a strong pipeline of future projects to deliver, there is now the need to further invest in the team by adding the expertise of a Senior Developer with strong Java skills.

Your new role
You will join a growing and well established multi-discipline team tasked with the development and maintenance of a suite of varied and bespoke products and solutions. Step into the Senior Developer job role and make an immediate impact as you hit the ground running, taking the lead on projects working in tandem with Business Analysts, Developers and Testers throughout the full development life-cycle. In this highly agile and collaborative environment, you will adopt both SCRUM and KANBAN methodologies, and be a strategic driver of process efficiency improvements, assuming project delivery accountability while mentoring junior team members and providing support to the wider IT function.

Experience with the following technologies and methodologies will be highly regarded:
- Java
- Spring
- Tomcat
- SOAP, RESTful web services, API's
- SQL
- Knowledge or experience of automated unit testing, Test Driven Development (TDD) or similar
- Knowledge or experience of Behavioural Driven Development (BDD)
- Knowledge or experience of mobile development (Android, IOS, Windows)
- Knowledge or experience of Apache Camel, Rabbit MQ, CouchDB, Oracle, MSSQL Hibernate, JSON

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a real desire to work with and contribute to the ongoing success of a collaborative and high preforming development team. You will have a strong core knowledge of Java along with front end and database exposure. With an emphasis on software engineering you will be able to demonstrate your track record in developing innovative solutions, taking the lead on small projects from design to completion as well as managing and supporting the input from team members. Your genuine interest in software development is key, and will be demonstrated by the personal projects and skills development you have undertaken in your own time.
