Ambridge Harris are recruiting for a manufacturing business based in Wiltshire who have a requirement for a Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent, full time basis (flexi time on offer)

Job Description

  • Process New Entrant information accurately and in a timely manner by setting up on the Time & Attendance system, inputting onto the correct monthly timesheet
  • Issue of new employee swipe cards
  • Ensure new employee finger scan information set up on the Time & Attendance system
  • Process Leaver information accurately and in a timely manner by removing from the Time & Attendance system and correct monthly timesheet
  • Support the Payroll provider by keeping accurate payroll timesheets and submitting in a timely manner, including all Company overtime and Acting Up Forms
  • Calculate holiday entitlements and update the corresponding attendance calendar, for new entrants, leavers and for those employees whose change of contract triggers a re-calculation, throughout the Company holiday entitlement calendar year
  • Distribute employee payslips in a timely manner - in line with current procedure and Data Protection Act
  • Maintain and manage the Time & attendance system to ensure up-to-date and accurate information by inputting sick notes and Return to Work information
  • Maintain and manage the HR Department sick list to accurately reflect current sickness and unauthorised absence in "real time" information
  • Maintain and manage the Time & Attendance system to provide accurate reporting for the purpose of Fire & Attendance logs to be used in emergency situation to ensure correct and accurate absence codes are inputted
  • Dealing with all employee pay related queries
  • Corresponding and liaising with the CSA and providing accurate employee information in a timely manner but ensuring that the Data Protection Act is complied with at all time
  • Provide assistance and training, where appropriate, to Heads of Department/FLM's in the accurate use of the Time & Attendance system
  • Timely creation and circulation of KPI reports to HR Manager/HR Director
  • To manage all aspects of the Company's pension scheme including the auto-enrolment process and maintaining up to date information of the scheme.
  • Liaise with actuaries and Pension Scheme Trustees and other third party stakeholders.

You will need:

  • Excellent computer skills, in particular Excel spreadsheets
  • Basic understanding/awareness of health and safety issues
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Disciplined and well organised
  • Understands the need to implement and achieve KPI's
  • Pensions experience
  • Time & Attendance and overtime payroll experience
